Learn More About Lamkin Fingerprint Technology

Lamkin Fingerprint Technology

Lamkin’s proprietary new FINGERPRINT TECHNOLOGY distributes intricate and highly detailed micro textures on the grip surface. The result: a more comfortable high-traction feel for greater confidence with lighter grip pressure.

I’ve stated it in a few places, but I’ve been a Lamkin grip user for years now.  While I think Lamkin makes quite a few really great grips, my favorite has always been the UTx by a mile.  To the point where I’ve been like, “ok, Lamkin [insert new grip model here] is really nice, but the UTx is still the G.O.A.T.”  However, the recent trend I’ve seen out of Lamkin has been that I’ve found their new models are easy for me to grip and have felt great in my hands.  I believe one of the big reasons is their new “Fingerprint Technology.”  This post will teach you more about this new tech from Lamkin and why it might bring a new grip to my clubs.

Improved Feel

The battle of the right amount of traction in a grip is always difficult.  Typically, a player looking for more traction in a grip will use a more coarse rubber compound or a grip with cord in it.  With Fingerprint Technology, Lamkin is able to provide an alternative option.  This design “distributes intricate and densely-spaced patterns throughout the grip’s surface.”  Lamkin describes these patterns as “micro-textures.”  With the way these micro-textures are utilized, players still get excellent traction but a much smoother surface feel.  Another benefit is a reduction of slipping in your hands due to the improved traction.

Performance Goals

Yes, Fingerprint Techonology will make Lamkin grips more comfortable, but it also helps performance.  With the increased traction from Fingerprint Technology, Lamkin has also increased grip stability.  What does this mean?  Believe it or not, lighter grip pressure will lead to a more stable grip.  With the improved traction, you won’t need to squeeze the life out of your grip to hang onto it.  As a result, your grip’s stability has increased!  Additionally, that lighter pressure should help you generate more speed and distance.

Final Thoughts

Are you a “no-glove wearer,” or do you just have sensitive hands like I do?  These are the types of players who Lamkin designed Fingerprint Technology for.  This new technology can be found in Lamkin’s TS1, Sonar, and Comfort Plus grips.
