AHEAD Golf Hats
AHEAD has always been one of the leaders in custom golf apparel pretty much as long as I can remember walking into golf shops. As a leader in customization and design variety, AHEAD has been heavily relied on by golf clubs far and wide. Now, admittedly, I haven’t always been the biggest AHEAD fan. I, like any big golf guy, liked all the “cool kid” brands out there so that’s what I bought. However, I’ve COMPLETELY 180’d since getting some custom AHEAD golf hats made a little over a year ago. AHEAD is a class leader in custom golf apparel for a reason. The quality of construction and ornamentation used in their customization is extremely impressive.
The Looks
What I’ve come to really appreciate about AHEAD is that they have a seemingly never-ending portfolio of different styles and options. Whether you want a flat bill, a dad hat, a bucket hat, or a more athletic style, AHEAD has it…and much more. Structured, unstructured, fitted, adjustable, camouflage, fluorescent, pastel, you name it.
There are also a whole bunch of different ornamentation options from leather patches to basic embroidery to AHEAD’s new AEROflex technique. AEROflex allows AHEAD to produce custom silicone-like graphic pieces that bond to the hat without thread. I’m thinking with my next batch of hats from AHEAD, I’m just going to turn the design ideas over to them and see what they can do with AEROflex. By the way, that’s another AHEAD advantage. Need help with the perfect design? They more than know what they’re doing and can take care of it for you.
Another thing I really appreciate about AHEAD is how legitimately good they are at what they do. (Trust me, this comes back to “Looks”.) Since starting this little golf website, I’ve learned that our DRH logo is extremely difficult to embroider well. Not only is AHEAD able to embroider the logo, but it looks crisp and the stitching is nice and tight. I’m pretty confident that AHEAD can successfully throw my logo on anything at this point. If you have a logo, they can make it work and make it work well.
On-Course Performance
My updated fandom of AHEAD golf hats is largely because of how well they perform which is why I got more of them. Of course, a lot of different factors and what you use the hats for play roles in performance, but in my mind, it basically comes down to durability. AHEAD can make their hats look as good as they want, but if they don’t hold up, who cares? What I’ve come to learn is that the AHEAD hats I’ve been using are extremely durable. The colors last over long periods of time, the embroidery doesn’t fray, and the materials just stand the test of time. Don’t get me wrong, if you abuse them and don’t take care of them, then you might have issues. But that’s your fault, not the hats. For me, these hats are workhorses.
Final Thoughts – AHEAD Golf Hats
Look, I know I’m probably late to the AHEAD party and there are probably plenty of people that already know everything I’m saying. Well, whatever, so be it. I’m a big fan of these hats and know I can count on AHEAD for a great custom product for my “brand”. If you’re looking for good quick service and a quality product at a reasonable price, trust me, AHEAD should be on your list.
