It’s So Hot Outside…
Earlier on this mid-August Chicago-area morning as I sit here on my laptop, I stepped outside my side door and immediately couldn’t breathe. The heat and humidity was suffocating reminiscent of inland Florida this time of year. (Apparently it’s only going to get worse this week, too.) Though the kids are officially back to school this week, this blast of heat reminds me that there’s still plenty of warm weather left to enjoy and I have the perfect gear for it – the new TRUE linkswear Golf and Leisure Club collection.
The TRUE linkswear Golf and Leisure Club Collection
TRUE linkswear is one of the more rightfully deserving brands of the “lifestyle” label so loosely thrown around in the golf industry these days. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it time and time again, their shoes are the best “parking lot to course” shoes in the business. Even when I’m not golfing, my go-to shoes are generally TRUE linkswear because they’re comfortable over long periods of time and have a good “street casual” look. The new Golf and Leisure Club capsule, however, truly vaults the brand into a new area of comfort and relaxation. Whether hanging out by the pool, having a few beverages while smoking a brisket, or falling asleep by the lake, this collection perfectly immerses you into a real vibe of comfort and relaxation.
The clear highlights are the lightweight FS-Slide, the All Day Vacay button up, and the All Day swim short. The black and white dead golfer skeleton was a must for me as soon as I first laid eyes on the print. TRUE also offers a stripe pattern in navy or pine green with a heavy SoCal vibe, and a solid colorway in “sand” (a light tan) featuring a lone dead golfer skeleton in both the button up and swim shorts. I’ll vouch for the swim shorts as they served me well on my recent vacation packed with water slides and sitting poolside. Those same shorts paired with the button up also served me just as well at a late-summer concert festival where the lightweight, breezy design provided much welcomed comfort in the pit.
The capsule is rounded off with headcovers, hats, and a t-shirt to really lean into a true state of relaxation on and off the course!
