Short Par 4 Subscription Boxes – One of the Leading Subscription Boxes in Golf

Short Par 4 Subscription Boxes

We currently live in a time where anything and everything in your life is available via a subscription box.  Though an unlikely question these days, you may be asking, “what’s a subscription box?”  There are many services out there where you can sign up to receive items automatically delivered to your door on a regular basis.  These exist for everything from cuts of meat to personal hygiene products to anything else you can dream of.  While there are a few different options in the golf industry, Short Par 4 subscription boxes are arguably the most popular.  With four different membership options, Short Par 4 aims to deliver a curated experience to provide you clothing and accessories from your favorite brands as well as exposing you to new ones at a fraction of the price.

Membership Options

For all memberships, Short Par 4 will have you complete a “personal style test” where you will make note of your sizes from golf gloves to golf shoes, and everything in between.  You’ll also provide what kind of fit you prefer for your clothes and how bold of style you want.  A helpful reference they give you in picking your style matches is a selection of a popular Tour player that best matches the style descriptions.  Quantity of items per box will vary depending on value based on which membership you choose.

The Fairway Membership

The Fairway memberhsip is Short Par 4’s “value” option.  Their goal is to get you the basics you need to hit the course at a good price.  The box pictured in this post is a Fairway box.  My only criticism here is that the Short Par website gives you the impression that you’ll receive name brand items from the golf world.  True, the Callaway apparel I received meets the criteria, but I won’t wear the Short Par 4 trucker hat or glove.  We’ll discuss returns/exchanges later.

The Executive Membership

Short Par 4 bills their Executive membership as a package “for the sharp gentleman who desires the best of the best.”  They explain this includes higher-end brands such as RLX and Sunice, and also includes a VIP Customer Service.  I can’t really comment on this, but Short Par 4 says these members “get the full VIP treatment with exclusive deals and VIP Customer Service so you won’t have to deal with chatbots or phone calls.”  Based on my experience dealing with the chatbot through SP4, this may be worth it for you.  My chatbot experience left a little to be desired.

The Tour Membership

The Tour membership is a limited package that is currently based around a Rickie Fowler theme.  What this means is that the box will contain gear from the same brands that sponsor Fowler and potentially signed memorabilia.

The Magnolia Membership

Ladies, Short Par 4 didn’t forget about you.  Short Par 4 recently introduced this membership to provide the same type of subscription service they previously only offered to men.  Right now, the Magnolia package will be curated and inspired by Lexi Thompson.

Short Par 4 Subscription Returns

Returns & Exchanges

Short Par 4 does not offer returns as all sales are final, but they do offer Mulligans.  A Mulligan is their exchange process where you can send back unwanted items from your box and Short Par 4 will you issue you a gift card to use in their shop based on the value of the returned items.  I haven’t taken part in this process, but it seems pretty straightforward as long as you can find something of interest in their shop.  Take note, there is a fee associated with exchanging items – $10 for clothes and accessories, $13 for shoes.

Final Thoughts 1

Final Thoughts

If you aren’t picky about your golf clothes and like random surprises, the Short Par 4 box may be for you.  There’s a certain element for me where I don’t like to leave my spending to chance, especially being a somewhat picky person.  While there will be items here and there that I’ll like, the process of exchanging and spending in the shop could lead to more hassle and expense than I want from a “carefree right to my doormat” subscription box.  I think the Short Par 4 subscription service is interesting, but it takes a certain personality to fit it well.

Admittedly, I haven’t had a long-term Short Par 4 experience, but I’d be interested to hear what others think of this service in the comments below.  If you’ve used Short Par 4 before and have had any experience to share, let us know!
