Nippon Shaft Players Earn Three More Victories

Nippon Shaft players recorded three victories in the last two weeks on the PGA and European men’s circuits.

On Sunday (July 14) at the John Deere Classic, the 29-year-old South African used Nippon Shaft N.S. Pro N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 105 steel shafts in his irons and wedges to shoot 21-under par to win his first PGA Tour title at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois. His rounds of 66-68-65-64—263 were good enough for a two-shot, come-from-behind victory and a berth in this week’s Open Championship at Royal Portrush.  He also earned $1.080 million and clinched his PGA Tour playing privileges for two more years.

Earlier that day, at the Scottish Open, the 33-year-old native Austrian won with a par on the third hole of a sudden death playoff, using N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 120x steel shafts in his irons. He shot 22-under in regulation with rounds of 67-61-65-69 at the Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland.  He won $1.2 million.

On July 7, in Blaine, Minnesota, the 20-year-old rookie phenom out of Oklahoma State won his first PGA Tour title at the inaugural 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities using Nippon Shaft’s N.S. PRO MODUS³ Tour 130x steel shafts in his irons.

The three wins represent total worldwide professional victories No. 183, 184 and 185 for the Modus series of shafts and the 29th, 30thand 31st victories this season.
