CARLSBAD, Calif. – It was the first PGA Tour victory for the champion of the RSM Classic in Saint Simon’s Island, Georgia, (Nov. 21) and the 260th win on a major world golf tour for Nippon Shaft’s MODUS³ Series of steel shafts.
The 30-year-old winner used N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 125 X flex steel shafts in his irons to help fashion a tournament record tying total of 22-under par with rounds of 64-65-67-64—260 at the Seaside Course at Sea Island Resort. The Oklahoma State alumnus won by three shots, earned $1.296 million and jumped to the top spot on the Tour’s FedEx Cup standings. It was his third top 5 finish in six starts in the young 2021-22 wraparound season.
“Nippon Shaft is excited to congratulate the winner of this year’s RSM Classic, who hit 16 greens and went bogey-free in his final round,” said Hiro Fukuda, sales and marketing for Nippon Shaft. “His steadfast hard work and growing confidence have him playing great golf and we are pleased that he trusts Nippon Shaft products to help him play his best.”
More than 200 players on the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, European Tour and Korn Ferry Tour use Nippon Shaft’s MODUS³ series steel shafts to help gain their desired distance, accuracy, and trajectory.
