Uther Original Supply
If there’s one accessory that I always want on my bag at all times, it’s a good golf towel. Enter Uther Supply. I’ve tried countless types of towels over the years, from cheap cloth towels from Target, to expensive tour-quality towels, and even one of those ever-popular Amino Vital towels you see on Tour bags every week (yeah, I know, eye roll). While most people may think a towel is just a towel, I disagree. Plain towels (or the Amino towel I once had) have no way of attaching to anything, and I lose them easily (although, I am a super forgetful person). Others are either too small, too large, or are just very plain and boring. Uther does an amazing job of blending a quality towel with size options for everyone’s needs, all coming in cool designs that will fit anyone’s eye.
I first discovered Uther towels in 2017, and now they’ve expanded their lineup to include even more cool stuff that brings some added flair to your golf accessories.
The Towel
Let’s first start with Uther’s original product, the golf towel. Every Uther towel is made of a high-quality “waffled” material. As far as a towel’s performance is concerned, Uther offers the best of the best. The material holds water and stays damp for an entire 18 holes, so you’re not constantly looking for a way to keep half of your towel wet. They also do a pretty stellar job of cleaning dirt, mud, and sand from your grooves, in case you don’t carry a brush on your bag.
As far as size and towel types, Uther has two offerings: the Tour Towel and the Cart Towel. The Tour towel is a larger towel (20in x 40in) with a slit in the middle, so you can run your putter through it. This allows the towel to stay attached to your bag when your putter is in there, but allows for an easy way to take your towel with you to the green. The Cart Towel is a smaller, tri-fold towel (15in x 24in), that attaches to your bag via a small carabiner clip.
Now, a few other companies offer this same material, but none do it with the style of Uther. They offer designs ranging from the “Sea Turtles” above, to USA and Canadian flag themes, to floral designs or flamingos. No matter what your taste, Uther has something for you.
The “Other” Goods
Not only does Uther Supply offer sweet, functional towels, but they’ve expanded into other accessories with some sweet designs as well.
If you’re into having a more vivacious golf glove, and want to have a little fun, Uther has you covered. They take the traditional golf glove design, and add a little spice to them. Uther currently offers gloves in a camo, American flag, Canadian flag, Flamingo, and golf-themed gloves for those who want to branch out from tradition. The gloves are made of AAA cabretta leather, and while we haven’t had one long enough to speak to their durability, they do feel like a quality glove “out of the box.”
There are also a few hat options to go with your gloves, should you choose to match. They offer both flamingo and golf (what Uther calls “iconic”) patterned bucket hats, as well as a more traditional hat with either the flamingo or Uther Logo. The bucket hats currently come in one size, and if you have a big head like me, you might have a hard time squeezing into one. I will say though, the hat feels like it’s made from quality material, and a good bucket always looks sweet.
Final Thoughts
Uther offers accessories that add some style to your total look on the course, with a quality product to boot. While their hats and gloves add some style points, their towels are really top notch. They size and style options are great, and the patterns can really add some character to your bag. The best part? They’re some of the best towels in the game, which is why I not only use them, but have turned friends onto the brand as well. Here at Driving Range Heroes, we want to help you find some of the best products in the game that WE also want to use. That’s why you’ll find an Uther Supply towel on the bags of our whole team here at DRH.
