Nippon Shaft Wins Korn Ferry Event in Louisiana

CARLSBAD, Calif.  – The winner of the Chitimacha Louisiana Open used Nippon Shaft’s N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 120 TX steel shafts in his irons, coming out on top in a two-man sudden death playoff.

The University of Washington product made birdie on the first hole of sudden death (the 18th) to capture his first Korn Ferry Tour (KFT) title and collect the $135,000 winner’s share of the purse. He finished 72 holes at 14-under par with rounds of 68-66-71-65—270 at Le Triomphe G&CC in Broussard, La. and now is the top-ranked player on the KFT.
