For The Birds Golf Clothing Review

For The Birds Golf

For The Birds Golf combines loud patterns with high quality materials to make some of the most fun polo shirts in the market. Based just outside Kansas City, best friends Chris and James created For the Birds from the idea that looking good shouldn’t come at an exorbitant cost, an idea we can all get behind. Why spend $50 more on a polo of the same quality when you could use that money for balls after you put a full sleeve in the trees on the first hole?

FTB keeps prices low since the two friends run the brand by themselves, no outsourcing, no sales department got two normal guys making great apparel. Often overlooked but an important note, Free shipping, free returns, free exchanges? You really have nothing to lose and frankly these polos are likely to become a staple in your weekend round, backyard BBQ or just a night out with the boys.

The Looks

If you are looking for a traditional, solid color polo, you may have clicked on the wrong review. For the Birds Polos are bright, loud and eccentric. All For The Birds polos feature colorful and original designs that are sure to have your friends wanting to take a closer look. Personally, my favorite is the Parlay, featuring rolls of cash, footballs, and tickets. This polo had my friends asking about it on the first tee box. Now I cannot  guarantee it, but this shirt may become your lucky polo. I know it brought me some luck a few times.

Besides the Parlay, I really like the Deserted tee featuring three different color succulents, perfect for your next desert round or vacation. Last but not least, the FTB team was nice enough to send over an unreleased polo – the Gilmore 2.0. This polo is amazing, especially for fans of the best golf movie ever. Featuring some of Adam Sandler’s best quotes and iconic characters from the movie, this polo is sure to be the talk of your round.

Comfort Level

For The Birds polos feature a super comfortable, 92% polyester/ 8% spandex blend that creates a stretchy and moisture-wicking shirt. Their athletic fit is tighter around the arms and chest, and loose at the bottom. The polos also feature UPF 35+ to help keep you cool and protected from the sun. But seriously, still use sunscreen!

The fabric blend is also extremely wrinkle resistant. I wore the Deserted polo on a recent trip to Mexico and it was the only shirt I didn’t have to iron after unpacking. On that same note, For the Birds’ polos feature a standup collar that looks sharp all day long. No one links a floppy, wrinkled collar.

On-Course Performance

The For The Birds polos check all the boxes for on-course performance. They’re lightweight, breathable, and stretchy enough to comfortably make a golf swing. Whether you prefer your polos tucked or untucked, the four-way stretch provides an athletic fit with none of the restrictions of a tighter shirt.

The breathability is top notch as well. After a warm Spring 18-hole round (walking), I was bone dry and had no issues swinging the club or chaffing. If you sweat a lot, FTB polos will take care of you well. The naturally odor-resistant quick-dry fabric that will keep you dry all day long. Go right from the course to dinner without worry. Your friends and family will thank you.
