KBS Wins 2024 DP World Tour’s Soudal Open

The player opened up his campaign with back-to-back scores of 64. Saturday, he shot a 67 to give himself a 4-stroke lead going into Sunday. The final round was full of ups and downs, putting the resilient KBS player to the test. He played a steady round of even par, which gave his competition a chance to climb the leaderboard. By the final hole his lead had been narrowed to one stroke. He needed to make a par and hope his opponent missed his birdie putt to force a playoff. His opponent had the opportunity, but failed to capitalize by missing the putt. The KBS player claimed his first victory of the 2024 season and the Second victory of his career. He said, “I’m very happy. I was a little bit emotional because I know all the hard work that I put in that sometimes doesn’t show. I couldn’t ask for anything better”.
