In fact, Puma based the Teveris G’s looks off their own early 2000s runner profiles. Its upper is crafted from a breathable mesh material with strategically placed overlays for durability and structure. There are currently five different colorway options, three of which are primarily white. There’s also a black colorway and a grey/blue/white option. If you’re looking to capture a Y2K/turn of the millennium sneaker look, the Teveris G is it.
Comfort Level
Cushioning is paramount for golfers who spend long hours walking the course and the Puma Teveris G certainly has that in spades. The Teveris G incorporates Puma’s NITRO foam technology in the midsole, which delivers a responsive and comfortable ride. Additionally, the sockliner is molded for a plush, anatomical fit, further enhancing in-shoe comfort. The upper is primarily an extremely breathable mesh making sure your feet stay plenty cool out on the course. Just keep this in mind if the conditions are more on the “damp” side as the Teveris G is not designed to be waterproof.
On-Course Performance
The calling card of the Puma Teveris G’s performance is absolutely its extreme comfort. While wearing them in the right conditions is key, they’re great to walk in over long periods of time. This comfort level is nothing short of impressive and make for a great all-day walker.
As far as being a spikeless shoe, I wouldn’t say the Teveris G has the most aggressive traction in the world. In fact, the Teveris travels pretty seamlessly from the pavement of the parking lot to the fairways of the golf course. That said, I can’t tell you I had any slipping issues either. To be fair, my testing has been pretty dry, but I was able to maintain a good connection to the ground and stay balanced throughout my swing. Additionally, there was plenty of response through the soles providing strong feedback in any lie.
