The Wilson Fat Shaft irons are an absolute cult classic from the early 2000s. These clubs were defined by their ultra thick shafts and lack of hosels to provide golfers more stability, control, and an enhanced feel. In theory, more forgiveness as well.
Bill recently took a set of Wilson Fat Shaft 3 through Pitching Wedge irons, lob wedge, driver, and period-correct Wilson copper insert putter out to the Village Links for an interesting nine holes of golf that had him go through all of the emotions. (Unfortunately, I never found the elusive Fat Shaft putter in my adventures…)

Cool product to review, must have been a tough set to find! I remember Noel had a set back in the day.
Hold your finish!

I was like, “who’s referencing Noel in my comments?! Has to be someone local…”
PS. A thrift golf buddy recently found one of Noel’s putters at a local Goodwill. I was so jealous! He didn’t think the local nostalgia was as significant, obviously.
Holding finishes is the hardest part of the game these days, bud!
Hope you’re well.
