Tour Edge Exotics E725 Hybrid
When it comes to hybrids, finding the perfect balance of forgiveness, distance, and feel can be a challenge. The Tour Edge Exotics E725 Hybrid promises just that—and it absolutely delivers. With features like the 3D Diamond Face, 360º Ridgeback technology, and a high MOI design, the E725 continues the tradition of the Exotics E hybrid being an absolute rocket launcher. What sets it apart this time is a noticeable improvement in looks, sound, feel, and a more versatile ball flight.
The Looks
Tour Edge went with the matte black/carbon theme in the Exotics 725 lineup. Not only does this just look cool, but the matte finish is more durable and reduces glare from the sun! By using a carbon fiber crown, Tour Edge is able to control the weighting of the club better as well. A lighter crown means they can strategically position weight in the head for more stability and forgiveness. As such, the E725 hybrid has a low and deep center of gravity (CG) making it easier to launch in the air and to hit it straight.
The profile at address is a bit more on the “mini fairway wood” side with a definite pear shape and moderate face depth. Designed to have high MOI and big distance, this is to be expected. If you’re looking for a tiny “iron replacement that’s focused on workability” hybrid appearance, you may want to consider the C725 hybrid instead.
Flipping the club over reveals a modest, yet slick appearance. On the sole you’ll find a swappable weight which can be changed to adjust feel, spin, launch, etc. (Tour Edge will offer nine different weights, sold separately.) The Ryzersole plate also lowers the CG in the head by distributing more weight across the sole. You can’t miss the Power Channel which not only plays a role in weight distribution, but also adds more face flex resulting in more ball speed and forgiveness on mishits.
How Does it Feel?
The Tour Edge Exotics E725 hybrid really nails the essentials for this category. It features the return of Diamond Face technology, now enhanced with a new 3D design of varying diamond shapes behind the club face. These diamond shapes act as “mini trampolines” and boost speed at impact, especially on off-center strikes, helping you get more distance even when you miss the sweet spot. When paired with the flex of the Power Channel, the result is an impressive “pop” off the face.
360º Ridgeback technology adds rigidity to the club head, providing a more solid and precise feel. This not only improves the overall feel of the club, but also helps transfer more energy into the ball at impact. Like the Diamond Face and Power Channel technologies, this also translates into added speed and distance.
All in all, the Tour Edge Exotics E725 hybrid delivers a clean, direct feel with plenty of power. The ball jumps off the face, giving you the confidence to really swing away.
How Does it Sound?
The Tour Edge Exotics E725 hybrid also excels in the sound category. Thanks to the combination of Diamond Face, Ridgeback, and “finned internal ribbing” to control vibration in the head, the sound is clean and direct across most of the face. While it’s not overly muted or solid, the E725 avoids the hollow “mini fairway wood” sound that some hybrids have. Instead, it produces a controlled “whap” on well-struck shots. Extreme mishits toward the toe or heel will lose some of that crisp sound, but that’s to be expected. Really low shots on the face can take on a slight metallic tone, but it’s very faint.
It’s also worth mentioning that the Ryzersole design plays a key role in turf interaction, which influences the sound at impact. By minimizing ground contact, the E725 hybrid cuts through more cleanly, resulting in less interference with the club’s tone. Even on heavier shots, there’s no excessive “thump” or “rip” to the sound.
On-Course Performance
If you’re after long, straight shots with easy launch, the Tour Edge Exotics E725 hybrid is definitely worth considering. Tour Edge advertises that the CG is 10% lower than previous models, which had already offered impressive forgiveness. This lower CG, combined with a higher MOI, makes the E725 incredibly stable and easy to control. Long, straight bombs felt almost effortless.
One thing I noticed specifically with the E725 compared to its E723 predecessor was the ball flight. While the E723 was excellent, I found its flight could sometimes get a little too high for my liking. With the E725, the stock trajectory was more piercing, and I had greater control over it. This allowed me to easily hit both long, penetrating shots and high, soft landers into greens.
Final Thoughts – Tour Edge Exotics E725 Hybrid
The Tour Edge Exotics E725 hybrid truly stands out in the crowded hybrid market by delivering a perfect blend of forgiveness, distance, and feel. With innovative features like the 3D Diamond Face, 360º Ridgeback technology, and a high MOI design, the E725 carries on the Exotics hybrid legacy well. What really sets this model apart, however, is the noticeable improvement in its overall aesthetics, sound, and versatility.
From the sleek matte black finish and thoughtful weighting system to its refined ball flight and responsive sound, the E725 hybrid offers a complete package. It’s a well-rounded option that doesn’t just meet expectations, but exceeds them making it an excellent choice for golfers of all skill levels.
