Tour Edge Exotics C725 Fairway Wood Review

Tour Edge Exotics C725 Fairway Wood

Unsurprisingly, Tour Edge continues to deliver high-quality fairway woods that are some of the best in the game. Designed with better players in mind, the Tour Edge Exotics C725 fairway wood blends advanced materials, adjustability, and a compact profile to deliver a fast, low-spinning fairway wood built for control. With key technologies like a carbon crown, 3D Diamond Face VFT, 360º Ridgeback technology, and adjustable sole weighting, the C725 aims to compete with the big names at a much more accessible price point.

The Looks

If the Tour Edge Exotics C725 fairway wood isn’t their best looking fairway wood to date, it’s certainly pretty close. I know I seem to say that about their C fairway woods every release, but the matte carbon fiber crown and compact profile look really good behind the ball. The head is smaller than your typical fairway wood, which will appeal to players who like a more traditional, “Tour-preferred” look behind the ball. The sole features weight ports and branding that’s aggressive without being loud. Overall, it’s a sleek, modern design with timeless appeal.

Feel 11

How Does it Feel?

The Tour Edge Exotics C725 fairway wood delivers a strong, precise feel that matches its compact profile. Center strikes are rewarded with a crisp, dense sensation and plenty of feedback. However, there’s a surprising level of forgiveness on mishits thanks to Diamond Face VFT. (More on that later.)

Tour Edge’s 360º Ridgeback Technology reinforces the perimeter of the head, improving structural rigidity while enhancing feel as well. Even when contact drifts slightly off-center, the Ridgeback keeps the head stable through impact and minimizes any twisting. It creates a more solid, uniform feel from heel to toe.

Diamond Face VFT is a variable face thickness design with 61 different diamond-shaped zones that flex at impact. This tech helps maintain ball speed on mishits and contributes to a “lively” face feel. There’s a slight springiness at impact that gives the ball a quick launch off the face without feeling overly bouncy or hollow.

Finally, the adjustable sole weights influence club’s balance. With more weight forward, the club feels faster and more aggressive, but slightly less stable. With the heavier weight in the rear position, the head feels more stable and balanced, adding a bit more forgiveness and smoothness through the strike.

Altogether, the C725’s feel is powerful, responsive, and more forgiving than its compact size would suggest.

How Does it Sound?

I found the sound of the Tour Edge Exotics C725 fairway wood to sit in a nice place between “tight and compact” and “open and airy.” The carbon crown does a great job of eliminating excessive metallic tones, especially on solid strikes. It’s not overly muted and you still get a clear, crisp sound off the face. Tour Edge also uses finned internal ribbing inside the head to help manage and fine-tune acoustics, giving the C725 a more refined, consistent sound. Well-struck shots have a tight, controlled crack that provides good feedback without drawing attention on the range. It’s clean and satisfying, but not the most booming fairway wood out there.

Adjustability by way to the Flight Tuning System is a key benefit in the Tour Edge C725 fairway wood. Not only is loft and lie adjustable via the hosel, but the swappable sole weights allow you to adjust your stock flight shape, launch angle, and spin. With more weight forward, the C725 delivers a low-spin, penetrating ball flight ideal for players seeking a more piercing flight. Move the weight back, and you get a little more launch and forgiveness without giving up much control. The 3D Diamond Face VFT also contributes to strong ball speed and consistent performance, even when you don’t quite catch the sweet spot.

I have recently started tinkering with a C725 5 wood adjusted up to a 6 wood loft. Generally, increasing loft by way of an adapter will dynamically close the face a bit and can possibly add a little “left influence” to the shot. So far, I’ve been able to easily counteract this by placing the rear weight in the Fade position and my shot has straightened out nicely. Though a small adjustment, it really works well.

While the C725 isn’t necessarily built with forgiveness as the primary focus, the low center of gravity, 360º Ridgeback, and adjustable sole weights do add noticeable stability and consistency. That said, I still found the E725 fairway wood to be easier to launch and generally more forgiving, especially with the weight set back. Where the C725 stands out is in shot-shaping and trajectory control. It’s much easier to flight and work the ball, whether you’re trying to play a specific shape or just want a lower-launching bullet off the tee or deck.

Final Thoughts – Tour Edge Exotics C725 Fairway Wood

The Tour Edge Exotics C725 fairway wood is another strong entry in a line that consistently punches above its weight. It’s compact, fast, and built for players who want control, versatility, and adjustability without sacrificing feel. The combination of Ridgeback stability, Diamond Face VFT, and moveable weighting makes it surprisingly playable for a club in this category. If you’re a confident ball striker who wants to shape shots, manage trajectory, and get a fairway wood that looks and feels premium, the C725 should be on your short list.
