Ares Golf Grip Review
Ares Golf is a fresh new entry into the premium grip market with their First Edition grips. With a clean design, solid color options, and a unique pattern, these are built for golfers who want something that performs well and stands out just enough. Made from high-quality rubber and designed with feel in mind, it’s a grip that looks to balance comfort, control and style.
The Looks
Ares Golf grips immediately catch your eye with their vibrant color options, including Emerald (my choice), Amethyst, Charcoal, Sapphire, Pearl, Ivory, Obsidian and Ruby. The Signature AAA pattern adds a touch of sophistication, setting them apart from traditional grips. Made for golfers who value both form and function, these grips are as much about style as they are about performance. I regularly get compliments on these grips since putting them on my clubs. If you are looking to refresh your bag, the Ares First Edition grips will do just that.
How Does it Feel?
Constructed from high-quality rubber, the Ares Golf grips offer a luxurious feel that balances softness with durability. Weighing in at 51g with a core size of 0.600, they provide a comfortable and secure feel in hand and a vote of confidence over the ball. The tactile AAA grip is designed to enhance traction without causing the need to apply more pressure. Currently, the First Edition grips only come in standard size. The taper from end to end is traditioanl. If you prefer a more midsize feel, I would recommend at least four wraps underneath the bottom hand to take out some of the taper. More if you’re looking for a true midsize.
On-Course Performance
The Ares Golf grips deliver impressive feedback and control. I put the First Addition grips on my clubs prior to a recent golf trip. The high-quality rubber construction gave me a secure grip even in varying weather conditions, from hot and humid to downright downpours. These grips contributed to reliable shot execution when needed.
Durability has also been a strong suit. My Emerald grips have maintained their integrity over multiple rounds, resisting wear and tear effectively and keeping their tacky feel. This resilience makes them a dependable choice for golfers seeking a long lasting grip.
Final Thoughts – Ares Golf Grip Review
Emerging onto the scene with a grip that successfully merges style with substance, Ares Golf offers a product that stands out visually, while delivering reliable performance on the course. Their commitment to quality materials and thoughtful design results in a grip that feels as good as it looks. On top of that, Ares donates 5% of every purchase to the Evans Scholars Foundation, which has helped send over 11,000 caddies to college and higher education since its inception in 1930.
