Bill took a full set of vintage Henry Griffitts golf clubs – complete with a mysterious “T” wedge and “oversize” 9 and 11 woods (that are anything but oversize) – out for nine holes at the Village Links of Glen Ellyn.

Henry Griffitts built these clubs as true custom fits back in the day, and they weren’t cheap. That means the specs were dialed in for the original buyer…certainly not for some randomly finding them on a weekend #thrifting adventure. The result? A challenging, eye-opening round where the lack of proper fit definitely showed, but it was a blast to mix things up and play some vintage golf clubs out on the course.
