Fujikura was once again the number one performance golf shaft at this week’s Elite Tour event in Connecticut, with the champion relying on VENTUS to secure victory via a sudden-death play-off.
There was also more success for Fujikura and VENTUS in the third women’s Major of the season in Minnesota – with the winner remaining composed to claim her maiden Major title by two strokes.
In the men’s Elite Tour event, the week’s action saw Fujikura deliver another dominant performance across the board, with 38.5% of the field choosing the brand’s shafts in their driver – 12.3% ahead of the nearest competitor – while Fujikura also led the wood shaft count with 37.1% of players trusting the brand throughout their fairway wood set-ups.
New VENTUS TR Black with enhanced VeloCore+ technology
enters the winner’s circle on Tour
Against a world-class field and under the pressure of a tightly contested championship, the winner produced a performance built on power and consistency to secure the title – with his long game and confidence from the tee the catalyst for success.
Adding another victory to Fujikura’s growing list of successes in 2026, the champion – now an eight-time winner on Tour – trusted the innovation of Fujikura by using the new VENTUS TR Black profile in his driver – a switch he made in Canada only two weeks ago and which brought almost instant reward with a confidence-inspiring third-place finish before registering his first win in over 15 months in Connecticut.
The new VENTUS TR profile – which was launched earlier this year – builds on the legacy of the first-generation VENTUS TR and pairs Fujikura’s cutting-edge Spread Tow material with its latest VeloCore+ technology to deliver extra stability to help produce maximum consistency and improved energy transfer.
Designed for aggressive swing tempos, the new VENTUS TR line produces a lower launch and spin rate than the VENTUS line-up.
To add to the winner’s VENTUS TR Black 6-X with VeloCore+ technology in his driver shaft, he also used a VENTUS Blue 7-X in his 3-wood.
In Minnesota, the winner claimed her maiden Major title with a VENTUS Blue 5-S in her driver as well as a VENTUS Blue 8-S in her hybrid*.
Pat McCoy, Director of Tour Operations at Fujikura, said: “These were two outstanding performances and proof that when the pressure is on in the game’s biggest events, the world’s best players trust Fujikura and VENTUS to get the job done.
“It is extremely satisfying to register a first victory for our new VENTUS TR Black built with enhanced VeloCore+ technology – a profile we have worked hard to develop and it is great to see it making its winning debut on Tour.
“Our winners delivered when it mattered, showing the consistency and confidence required to perform under pressure and secure victory. That level of trust is exactly what VENTUS was designed to provide for golfers of all abilities.
“When every shot matters, players need complete confidence in their equipment, and Fujikura is proud to have supported these two victories with our performance-proven shaft technology.
“Our congratulations are extended to both players on two wonderful victories.”
