Fujikura Powers Historic Women’s Major Victory Before Adding Scottish Triumph

Fujikura celebrated another landmark week on the world’s biggest tours, headlined by a historic Women’s Major victory in France where the champion produced the lowest round in Major championship history before going on to secure back-to-back titles.

Delivering one of the finest performances seen in championship golf, the winner fired a record-breaking third-round score that rewrote the history books before holding her nerve to prevail in a dramatic play-off.

The victory marked her second consecutive Major title and continued a remarkable season that has now produced eight top-10 finishes.

The champion trusted Fujikura throughout her long-game set-up, relying on an VENTUS Blue 5-S in the driver together with an VENTUS Blue 8-S in her hybrid.

Fujikura’s winning week continued in Scotland on the men’s tour in Europe, where the champion produced a composed display to overcome one of the strongest fields of the season and claim victory in North Berwick.

Following weather delays on Saturday, players faced a marathon Sunday to complete the championship, placing even greater emphasis on maintaining focus and executing under pressure.

On a demanding links layout, precise driving and controlled ball flight proved crucial as players geared up for next week’s Major Championship in Southport, with the champion trusting Fujikura technology throughout the week to keep the ball in play and capitalize on scoring opportunities.

The champion trusted Fujikura throughout his long-game set-up, relying on an ATMOS Black 6-X in his driver and an ATMOS Black 7-X in his 3-wood, along with the new VENTUS TR Blue 8-X in his 5-wood and VENTUS Black 10-X in his driving iron.

In what was Fujikura’s 11th win on Tour this season, the brand once again dominated the equipment counts in Scotland, with 40.4% of the field choosing the brand’s shafts in their drivers – 10.3% ahead of the nearest competitor. Fujikura also led the fairway wood shaft count, with 39.6% of players trusting the brand in their wood set-ups, 10.5% ahead of the closest competitor.

Pat McCoy, Director of Tour Operations at Fujikura, said: “To witness a player produce the lowest round in women’s Major championship history before going on to lift the trophy is something truly special, and we’re incredibly proud that Fujikura was part of that achievement.

“To then see another victory on one of the toughest tests in golf in Scotland made it an unforgettable week for everyone at Fujikura. Whether it’s the unique demands of links golf or the pressure of a Major championship, the world’s best players continue to trust Fujikura because they know our products deliver the consistency and performance required when it matters most. Congratulations to both champions on two outstanding victories.”
