OnCore Golf Technology Inc, announces the release of their new and improved AVANT golf ball for the 2019-season. Named the AVANT 55, it’s 10 points lower in compression than the highly successful AVANT ball, leading to a softer feel, but delivering even more distance off the tee.
OnCore developed the ball in response to a growing interest in the market for soft and responsive golf balls that were long off the tee. In addition to providing golfers with an outstanding combination of feel, distance, and control, the Avant 55 is an affordable ball and priced under $25 dollars a dozen. The 2-piece design features a large inner core, perimeter-weighting for accuracy and control, and a highly durable Surlyn blend cover.
Currently available in white, additional colors and finishes including yellow and a matte lime green will be offered in the coming months.
“When we launched the 65-compression Avant three years ago, the positive reaction was amazing with many golfers telling us it outperformed their name-brand balls costing nearly twice as much,” said Steve Coulton, OnCore’s VP of Sales. “We expect that the reaction to this improved version will become the ball of choice for a significant number of players as they experience the performance benefits alongside the very favourable pricing.”
