CARLSBAD, Calif. – PUMA GOLF up-and-comer Adam Svensson braved the cold weather and a tight race for the lead to capture his first PGA TOUR victory at the RSM Classic at St. Simon’s Island. Svensson caught fire in his final two rounds, shooting an eight-under-par 62 on Saturday and a six-under 64 on Sunday, including birdies on 16 and 17 to avoid a four-way playoff and secure an invitation to the 2023 Masters, as well as the PGA Championship and a two-year exemption on TOUR.
The twenty-eight-year-old Canadian carded 13-birdies and an eagle in the final 36 holes to hold off a packed leaderboard. Despite chilly weather, Svensson remained warm and stylish in his PUMA GOLF apparel. He enjoyed the comfort of the Gamer ¼ Zip and Jackpot 5 Pocket pants during all four rounds, while his PUMA PROADAPT Delta Mids ensured solid footing in mixed conditions. Svensson layered-up in his PUMA UltraDry Rain Top and Bottoms for added comfort during his brisk final round and first career victory.
“There’s really nothing better than seeing a young athlete accomplish their dreams and secure their first win,” said Dan Ladd, President & GM, COBRA PUMA GOLF. “Adam showed a tremendous amount of grit this weekend. We’re thrilled to celebrate with him and look forward to watching many more victories to come.”
