Another Big Weekend for KBS Golf Shafts

KBS GOLF SHAFTS WINS THE U.S. OPEN

If we could describe this U.S. Open in one word, we would say Destiny. Destiny seemed to be on the side of this years winner, who seemingly was flawless in four rounds of major championship play. When it looked like he was in trouble he somehow found incredible ways to get out of it. This is the first major championship win for the KBS Golf Shafts player, but you wouldn’t know it from the performance the player put on. Using the KBS Custom Series C-Taper throughout his irons and KBS Hi-Rev 2.0 Wedge shaft in his wedges, the player went on to hit 52 of 72 greens in regulation – second on the week. His sharp iron play, along with his wedge play were crucial factors to him winning this year’s U.S. Open. Pebble Beach is known for its smaller greens, and penalizes players who miss. Winning with flair, the player birdied his final hole from 30 feet to finish at 13-under par and three clear to put an exclamation point on his tremendous win. This win moves the player to 12th in the Official World Golf Rankings and cements himself in golf history. Congratulations to the winner on his tremendous performance! | Player Driven. KBS C-TAPER – LOW SPIN. LOW LAUNCH. SIGNATURE FEEL. KBS C-Taper produces a lower flight and spin rate while maintaining the benefits of a piercing trajectory and smooth feel. The C-Taper shaft maximizes energy transfer to improve distance and ball control.

KBS HI-REV 2.0 WEDGE – HIGHER LAUNCH AND ADDED SPIN. The KBS HI-REV 2.0 features an active tip section that increases the effective loft of the club head. This advanced technology delivers a higher ball launch with more spin for added stopping power and greater accuracy.

KBS WINS LOW AMATEUR AT U.S. OPEN

KBS Golf Shafts shined bright this week in more ways than one. Not only did the U.S. Open Champion use a FULL bag of KBS, so did the winner of the Low Amateur Award. The Oregon State University standout, who officially turns pro this week at the Travelers Championship proved he belonged after scoring 4-under par, good enough for a T-11 finish. His score of 280 is the lowest 72-hole score by an amateur at a U.S. Open – a record held by Jack Nicklaus since 1960. His numbers were outstanding on the week, finishing second in strokes gained tee to green and tied for third in greens in regulation – both of which are crucial statistics in any major. Earlier in the season, the amateur earned the same honor at the Masters, garnering praise from the entire golfing world, but not surprising anyone given his talent and ranking of No.1 amateur in the world. The KBS player uses the Tour-V 120 in his irons and the 610 Wedge plus a Tour 130 his 60 degree wedge. Congratulations go out to him on his performance, and we can’t wait to see what he does as a professional! | Player Driven. Tour Proven. |

KBS TOUR-V – TIGHT DISPERSION. LIGHTWEIGHT DESIGN. – The KBS Tour-V features larger outer diameters, resulting in a stable tip section and tight shot dispersion. For players that prefer a lighter weight shaft and less ball spin, the KBS Tour-V is the ideal shaft option.

KBS 610 WEDGE – The KBS 610 Wedge shaft delivers a lower, more penetrating ball flight with controlled spin. This wedge-specific shaft allows skilled players to produce knock-down and other workable shots into, and around the greens.

KBS WINS LINCOLN LAND CHAMPIONSHIP ON WEB.COM TOUR

It was an exciting finish at the Lincoln Land Championship presented by LRS, ending in a three-hole playoff to crown the winner. The KBS Golf Shafts player who would eventually win, continues his strong play this season earning his second victory and placing himself at the top of the Top 25 Rank on the Web.com Tour and money list. The KBS player finished the tournament at 15-under par 269. He uses a full bag of KBS, which includes the KBS Tour 130 in his irons and wedges, plus the KBS Tour Prototype Hybrid in two clubs. The second-place finisher is also a KBS player who uses the KBS Tour FLT 120 throughout his bag. Congratulations to both on their impressive play this week! | Player Driven. Tour Proven. |
