Nippon Shaft Players Post Two More Victories

CARLSBAD, Calif. – For the third consecutive week, golfers on two of the world’s major professional tours posted victories using Nippon Shaft products and Nippon Shaft players finished T-2 and T-4 at the PGA Championship as well.

On the European Tour, the 34-year-old Englishman used N.S. PRO MODUS³ Tour 120 X flex steel shafts in his irons and wedges to win the English Championship by seven shots at the Hanbury Manor Marriott Hotel & Country Club in Hertfordshire, England. His 27-under par 257 total came with rounds of 66-62-64-65. For winning his fourth European Tour title he earned €156,825 ($179,384).

On the LPGA Tour, the 27-year-old Californian used Nippon Shaft’s popular N.S.PRO 950GH steel shafts in her irons and wedges to win the LPGA Marathon Classic in Sylvania, Ohio, her second consecutive win. The champion finished at 15-under par, shooting 64-67-70-68—269 at the Highland Meadows GC. She earned $255,000 for her fifth LPGA Tour victory.

At the PGA Championship, Nippon Shaft players finished T-2 and T-4, playing brilliantly at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco.
