CARLSBAD, Calif. – The native Spaniard who won the ISPS Handa Championship in his home country (April 24) used Nippon Shaft’s N.S.PRO MODUS³ Hybrid Tour shaft in his utility iron.
The 38-year-old champion finished 15-under par with rounds of 67-68-68-62—265 at the Infinitum’s Lakes Course in Tarragona and earned a winner’s check of €313,467 ($358,559). It was his seventh victory on the DP World Tour, formerly known as the European Tour.
“Nippon Shaft would like to congratulate the winner of the ISPS Handa Championship on his second tour win this year,” said Hiro Fukuda, sales and marketing for Nippon Shaft. “We are glad he has confidence in Nippon Shaft’s breakthrough hybrid technology designed for use in the utility iron.
