Nippon Shaft Wins Simmons Bank Open

CARLSBAD, Calif.  – The winner of the Simmons Bank Open for the Snedeker Foundation on Sunday (May 8) used Nippon Shaft’s N.S.PRO MODUS³ N.S. PRO 120 TX steel shafts in his irons to secure his first PGA Tour-sanction victory.

The 26-year-old from Honolulu won by one stroke thanks to his birdie on the par 5 18th hole at The Grove in College Grove, Tennessee near Nashville. He totaled 16-under par 272 with rounds of 69-65-69-69. His winner’s check amounts to $135,000 and he was thrilled when multiple PGA Tour winner Brandt Snedeker awarded him the trophy.
