CARLSBAD, Calif. – Nippon Shaft products were used by a prominent LPGA major champion to win the Lotte Championship Saturday (April 16) at Hoakalei Country Club in Ewa Beach, Oahu, Hawaii.
The 26-year-old Korean used Nippon Shaft’s innovative N.S.PRO ZELOS 7 steel shafts in her irons along with the company’s classic N.S.PRO 950GH shafts in her wedges en route to an 11-under par total and a two-shot victory. She earned her fifth LPGA Tour victory and a winner’s check worth $300,000.
The ground-breaking N.S. PRO ZELOS shaft combines the power, feel, and lightweight characteristics of graphite with the stability, control, and consistency of steel, delivering increased distance, higher trajectories, and improved performance. It is the world’s lightest steel shaft series.
The N.S.PRO 950GH shafts are Nippon Shaft’s groundbreaking sub-100 gram steel shafts developed many years ago and that have been used hundreds of times by professional tour winners, especially on the LPGA Tour.
“Nippon Shaft congratulates the winner of the Lotte Championship,” said Hiro Fukuda, sales and marketing for Nippon Shaft. “We are pleased that she was able to utilize the innovative Zelos 7 shafts along with the classic 950GHs to win again on the LPGA Tour.”
More than 200 players on the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, European Tour and Korn Ferry Tour use Nippon Shaft’s MODUS³ series steel shafts to help gain their desired distance, accuracy, and trajectory.
Nippon Shaft products are available globally either as stock or custom shafts in many of the world’s top iron brands. Details of these can be found at www.nipponshaft.com
