American luxury brand Peter Millar is celebrating the expansion of their sartorial Crown Crafted capsule for Spring 2019 with their PGA Tour brand ambassadors wearing the product this week at The PLAYERS Championship at TPC Sawgrass. The Crown Crafted capsule offers luxury performance sportswear defined by tailored silhouettes featuring the finest Italian yarns and hardware blended with cutting-edge fabric technology.
Peter Millar PGA Tour brand ambassadors wearing Crown Crafted this week include Branden Grace, Chez Reavie, Si Woo Kim, Brandt Snedeker, Chesson Hadley, Patton Kizzire and Harris English. Each player will sport different styles within the capsule that feature a tone-on-tone color palette with pops of color.
Breaking the rules from a development standpoint, Peter Millar has worked to purvey luxury yarns and materials from Italy and blending them with four-way stretch as well as cutting-edge fabric technology—providing an unlikely combination that is entirely unique in the world of performance sportswear. The nuanced sartorial details included in these products include high-chrome Italian hardware and genuine horn buttons custom-etched in Italy.
Crown Crafted is trimmer in nearly all areas of silhouette and can be considered a more tailored version of Peter Millar Crown Sport performance apparel. Compared to the traditional fit of Crown Sport, Crown Crafted knits have a shorter sleeve length with a narrower sleeve opening. They’re also narrower in the shoulder, chest and waist and have a subtly shorter body length. Crown Crafted pants offer a subtly shorter rise and are trimmer in the thigh, knee and leg opening for a clean, updated aesthetic.
In addition to the styling and fit, Peter Millar Crown Crafted products are differentiated from Crown & Crown Sport products with a dark navy label featuring the Crown Crafted logo. Most Crown Crafted styles feature a metallic Crown Seal logo that is exclusive to the styles within this capsule. For many of the second layer pieces, the branding is located on the back yoke and for the Performance Soft Jacket the branding is located on an interior cell phone pocket.
The spring 2019 Peter Millar Crown Crafted capsule launched in Peter Millar stores and online on February 28th and is available at some of the finest private clubs across the globe.
