PUMA Golf has teamed up with First Mile to create the second drop in the TRACKS series, The First Mile Collection. Inspired by and launching at this week’s Waste Management Open, the First Mile Collection consists of apparel made from recycled yarn that is manufactured from plastic bottles (Fun fact – it takes approximately 3 bottles to make one polo).
The First Mile is an organization that transforms plastic bottles into sustainable jobs, fabrics and stuff people love, in our case, stylish golf apparel. The bottles collected are sorted, cleaned, shredded and turned into yarn that is then used to create products with purpose. PUMA Golf’s First Mile T-shirts, Polo and ¼ Zip feature a cool, reflective print inspired by elements from the tournament: palm trees, howling coyotes, frosty beverages and cacti. Take a picture of each piece in the collection with flash to see a cool reflective element come to life.
Separate from the First Mile tops, the collection will include three unique caps (two for men and one for women) made out of recycled material, and a Limited-Edition PUMA x Vessel Waste Management VLX Stand Bag which features an all-over desert inspired print in a green and yellow colorway. PUMA Golf athletes, Rickie Fowler, Gary Woodland & Emiliano Grillo are slated to wear pieces from the collection throughout the week in Phoenix.
