Scottsdale, Ariz. (May 7, 2024) – The Troon Partners Network, a division of Troon®, the leader in providing golf and club-related hospitality services, has announced that Shot Scope, the golf industry-leader in advanced GPS and shot tracking technology, has been named the “Exclusive Data Partner” of the new Troon Game Performance HUB at www.troon.com/shot-scope/.
The Troon Game Performance HUB debuts as the perfect complement to the Company’s annual Troon Player Development Month throughout May, as facilities and Troon Golf Academies throughout the world amplify instructional opportunities and encourage golfers to participate in the Troon Swing Challenge.
As part of the HUB experience, Troon will connect golfers around the world with on course performance tracking insights from Shot Scope that capture and analyze shot data from tee-to-green, providing access to over 100 statistics, with detailed information on every shot taken during a round. These game changing statistics are based on years of amateur golf history and more than 350 million shots recorded in the Shot Scope database by golfers who utilize the Company’s rangefinder and GPS golf watches, including the new V5 Golf Watch. Through the HUB, Troon golfers can gain valuable insights, as well as access factual articles and videos on how to improve their game in specific shot making categories, including tee shots, short game, putting, approach shots, bunker play, etc.
Another exciting aspect of the Troon Game Performance HUB, golfers will be able to download and access Shot Scope’s library of “ebooks” that utilize data collected from millions of golf shots to provide strategic insights for lowering scores through better course management and shot strategy.
In addition to tracking and analyzing game performance, the HUB will highlight services Shot Scope can offer to Troon’s golfers, teachers and coaches from across the portfolio of properties. Such as Shot Scope Academy – A first-of-its-kind platform – designed specifically for PGA Professionals, golf coaches and teachers — that uses advanced technology to establish a link between instructors and golfers to track and analyze their performance on the course.
“We are very excited to expand our partnership with Shot Scope to utilize their advanced shot tracking technology to power the new Troon Game Performance HUB,” said Ryan Pensy, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, Troon. “Located at Troon.com and promoted across the Troon Media Network and social channels, this HUB is a destination for expert insight on all aspects of on course game performance. It will also provide Troon customers with offers to purchase a breadth of products led by Shot Scope that provide unmatched, subscription-free data capture and game analysis out on the course.”
“Shot Scope is thrilled to continue our partnership with Troon and serve as the tracking engine for the Troon Game Performance HUB,” said David Hunter, CEO, Shot Scope. “Shot tracking allows golfers of all levels to learn and understand their game using a variety of on course performance statistics. Through Shot Scope data analysis presented at the HUB, golfers can further identify their strengths and weaknesses, and improve their game.”
