SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.- Miura Golf is pleased to congratulate Zac Blair on winning the Ellie Mae Classic at TPC Stonebrae. We are proud that Zac chose to play forged Miura irons on his way to earning his first career Korn Ferry Tour victory this weekend!
Blair played Miura CB-301 (4-7) and Miura MB-001 (8,9) irons on his way to winning his first ever PGA sanctioned tour victory. The key to his victory was his remarkably consistent iron play; using clubs forged in Miura’s family-operated factory in Himeji, Japan, Blair led the field in greens in regulation.
Blair is the second golfer to earn his first career Korn Ferry Tour victory playing Miura irons this season. In March, Vince Covello won the Chitimacha Louisiana Open playing Miura’s legendary Baby Blades.
The win places Blair 10th on the Korn Ferry Tour’s season-long points standings, ensuring that he will join Miura Ambassador Abraham Ancer on the PGA Tour next year.
Hoyt McGarity, CEO of Miura Golf said: “This is a great win for Zac. Miura has played a part in two memorable wins on the Korn Ferry Tour this year, first with Vince and now Zac, and we have a bright future ahead of us as they join Abraham on the PGA Tour next season.”
