All Good Golf Review
A new player in the golf apparel space is making waves from the Pacific Northwest. All Good Golf recently launched their inaugural collection featuring a heavyweight hoodie, hat, beanie and the star of the show, the AGG Tech Crew. Founder James Steward took his professional experience with both Nike and Adidas and combined it with his love for golf and industry knowledge from his time with Wilson Sports to create AGG. With an emphasis on quality materials and construction, All Good Golf has an overarching mantra of an easy going, laid back brand. Hence the name, All Good Golf. Steward mentioned the inspiration for the name came from the feeling that even during the worst rounds or after a shank, life is all good. AGG is aimed at the golfer who is just looking to have a good time, no matter the score or number of mulligans.h
The Looks
All Good Golf‘s attention to detail and overall aesthetics are impressive. Lets start with the AGG Strap Back Hat and Its All Good beanie. The hat comes in two colorways – black/white and grey/forest green. The five panel construction featuring a mid-length and soft brim is reminiscent of running hats. You’ll find “its all good” in stitched cursive across the front of the beanie that looks really nice. Both the hat and beanie have a Woven AGG flag logo sewn for a tee holder, which is a nice touch.
Moving to the All Good Hoodie, coming in a super nice, almost washed grey colorway, this hoodie looks fantastic. With 3 different stitching elements, the attention to detail and quality is next level. Across the chest you’ll find a subtle cursive “it’s all good” logo”. Moving around to the lower back, you’ll find a bold embroidered “All Good Golf”. Lastly, on the left wrist is the AGG flag logo, which may be a new favorite of mine. I have found myself wearing this hoodie both on and off the course regularly. In fact, I’m wearing it as I write this!
Finally, the AGG Tech crew shirt. The real crown jewel of the collection. Coming in four colors, there is something for everyone. The AGG flag on the chest and “All Good Golf” text again on the lower back look great. Featuring a kangaroo style pocket on the front, and also zip up classic hoodie pockets. The same style pocket is also on the lower back with a heavy weight zipper to keep the elements out. This crew has quickly become my go to outerwear for cooler rounds.
Comfort Level
Lightweight and extremely breathable, the All Good Golf Strap Back hat checks all the boxes. I have said it once and I’ll say it again, this hat is “big head friendly”. The adjustability is great and the brim is flexible enough to give the perfect fit. The beanie is lightweight but warm enough for those early or late season rounds. Between all of the headwear, you’ll be looking and most importantly feeling good when you’re rocking All Good Golf.
The hoodie is made of a heavyweight cotton blend that feels super premium. I also really like that this hoodie has no drawstrings. Often times I feel they are distracting while over the ball. Just a personal preference I suppose. The cuffs on the sleeves are thick and tight as well. I often find some hoodie’s cuffs stretch out over time which is supper annoying. I don’t think this will be an issue here. The soft material has had me wearing this a lot just around the house.
Rounding out the collection, the AGG Tech crew has an ultra premium feeling. As soon as I felt the fabric it reminded me of other premium “athleisure” brands. I felt so comfortable playing in the crew because of how soft and stretchy it was. I have to note more about the cuffs as well. Featuring cut outs on the inside of each cuff, you wont feel any restriction while swinging. A super minor detail, but much appreciated on those wrists while playing. Fit-wise, I would recommend potentially sizing down for a more athletic fit. I went with my normal sweatshirt size of XL which provided plenty of room, with a more boxy/baggy look.
On-Course Performance
In a recent early season round here in Chicago, I headed out decked out in my new All Good Golf apparel. Inside the Tech crew’s kangaroo pocket lays a secret feature and where I think James Steward is really onto something. Behind the heavyweight, water tight zipper is a large pocket lined with golf towel material. Ever get to the green with a muddy ball and left the towel in the cart? I’m guilty of it, but my polo or sometimes sock get the short end of the stick. Simply throw you ball, or club if you’re really in a pinch, into the pocket and scrub. Good as new. But it gets better. Stitched in is a elastic band that you can store up to 6 tees. Lastly, a hidden magnet in the pocket let you keep your favorite ball marker secure or the included AGG flag marker.
Final Thoughts – All Good Golf
All Good Golf, emerging from the scenic landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, is a refreshing addition to the golf apparel scene. With AGG’s debut collection, they’ve captured my attention with a range of meticulously crafted pieces, epitomized by their star attraction – the AGG Tech crew. Founder James Steward’s fusion of professional expertise from Nike, Adidas, and Wilson Sports has birthed a brand focused on quality and a laid-back vibe, perfectly embodied in their mantra, “it’s all good”. This ethos permeates through every stitch and detail, from the stylish AGG Strap Back hat to the heavyweight comfort of the Its All Good hoodie. As a testament to their commitment to both style and functionality, All Good Golf’s inaugural collection promises not just good looks, but also a good time on the course, embodying their motto: Look good, feel good, play good. It’s all good.
