The 2026 Callaway Quantum driver series moves away from a traditional single-material face in favor of a multi-layered “engine” called the Tri-Force Face. This design features a 14% thinner titanium surface backed by military-grade Poly Mesh and carbon fiber. These layers work together to manage ball speed and vibration more efficiently than previous models.

The new lineup includes the high-MOI Quantum Max, the draw-biased Max D, and the compact Triple Diamond models. I spent time testing the Triple Diamond (TD) head to get first-hand experience with Callaway’s latest design approach.

The Looks

Callaway went with a cleaner look for the Quantum that feels like a return to form. At least to me. The crown features a glossy carbon finish with a subtle matte topline, providing a refined aesthetic without unnecessary distractions. The Triple Diamond version retains a compact, 450cc tour-inspired shape that, dare I say, is pear shaped. While the Quantum Max and Max D offer a fuller 460cc footprint, the Triple Diamond keeps a deep-faced profile that looks built for speed. On the sole, the 360° Carbon Chassis is highlighted by a matte woven carbon fiber finish and clean silver accents that reinforce the high-end feel.

How Does it Feel?

Layering the ballistic Poly Mesh between the titanium face and carbon backing gives the Callaway Quantum driver a “dense” sensation at impact. Sandwiching Poly Mesh between the titanium surface and carbon backing creates a unique interface that dampens vibration in the head. This construction produces a solid strike with a responsive jump off the face while the feel remains firm and stable.

Feedback on the Triple Diamond is notably precise. That internal dampening effectively smooths out the jarring sensation of mishits without masking the contact point. You still know exactly where the ball met the face, but the strike feels powerful rather than overly thin or harsh.

How Does it Sound?

The sound of the Callaway Quantum driver matches the density of its feel. Because of the multi-material Tri-Force Face and carbon fiber chassis, the acoustic profile is a muted, low-pitched “thud.” I don’t mean thud to be negative, but rather a dampened and direct tone that has some body to it. A lot of super muted driver heads sound thinner and having a “cracking” sensation, whereas this one has a bit more pop without sounding hollow.

This controlled tone remains consistent across the face. Even on off-center strikes, the sound stays contained and solid, which reinforces the club’s stable sensation. You can hear the difference between a center strike and a miss, but the acoustic drop-off is minimal. The result is a driver that sounds powerful and refined without being loud enough to turn heads two fairways over.

Needless to say, performance will strongly depend on which Quantum model you go with. Piercing trajectories that bore through the air define the flight of the Callaway Quantum Triple Diamond. Shaping shots feels natural, as the head allows for easy manipulation both ways. Controlling trajectory is equally simple, whether you need to flight it down or launch it high.

Moving the rear weight delivers the promised flight influence. Relocating that perimeter weight allows for a precise shift in ball flight without making the head feel unbalanced. This adjustment simplifies dialing in a specific shot shape while keeping feedback consistent.

Stability is the standout feature here. While low-launch and low-spin drivers often sacrifice forgiveness for speed, this construction stays pretty square through the strike. Off-center hits provide a level of consistency usually reserved for high MOI models.

Final Thoughts – Callaway Quantum Driver

Honestly, the Quantum family is the most impressed I’ve been with Callaway drivers in quite some time. They look and feel great, and I was perfectly satisfied with my performance experience. The Triple Diamond delivered as advertised, and I’m confident that the rest of the lineup would as well. Especially with a good session from your trusted club fitter! The dense feel of the Tri-Force face makes for great feedback at impact and the level of stability for a low/low driver with minimal adjustability is noteworthy. Whether you need the low-spin profile of the Triple Diamond or the higher launch of the Max models, this series offers a legitimate performance option for every type of player. It is a cohesive, well-executed lineup that provides a specific fit for any swing without losing that premium, solid sensation at impact.
