Exploring Calumet Country Club

Just outside Chicago sits a 102 year old, Donald Ross golf course that you may have never heard of. The once private Calumet Country Club hosted the Western Open in 1924 and the 1945 Victory Open, one of the wins during Byron Nelson’s eleven straight tournament victories. This course was beloved by many, but is on the brink of extinction from plans to redevelop the site.

Bill covers the history of the course as well as comparing the changes it went through when it was redesigned to make way for a major Illinois highway.
