Happy Birthday Jon and Tommy!
Both of these sweet boys had birthdays this week (11th and 13th respectively) so I thought I’d compile and share a list of my favorite posts from Jon and Tommy this past year. There are some good ones in here that maybe you just haven’t seen yet or are worth revisiting for the pictures alone.
Jon’s Posts
A Visit to The Kingsley Club – When #PureMichigan Got Too Pure
Jon always speaks very highly of Kingsley, and this post features some WILD weather and great pictures. From picture-perfect Fall weather to snow and wind in seconds!
The Driving Range Heroes Visit Chicago Golf Club for the US Senior Women’s Open
This was arguably one of our first “team outings,” and for a few golf nerds like us, it couldn’t have been at a better place. Jon put together our thoughts on the historic event and compiled some sweet pictures of one of the greatest courses in America – Chicago Golf Club.
Jon’s Trip to the Old Course at St. Andrews
This was Jon’s first post for the site and it covered the home of golf. Needless to say, I was immediately jealous after reading this post.
Marquette Golf Club – The Heritage Course
Jon’s a massive William Langford fan and this trip to The Heritage in Marquette, Michigan highlights a cool piece of Langford’s history.
Stewart Peninsula – A Unique North Dallas Golf Experience

Winter Golf – Where Do You Draw the Line
Tommy has been a relatively reliable partner in crime for absurdly unreasonable winter golf over the past few years. As a California boy, I know it’s hard on him so it makes reading this post even more fun for me. Anyway, I appreciate the times we’ve had in freezing temps pretending golf was a good idea so I decided to lead off with this post.
Does Tiger’s Tournament Skew the Rankings
The Courier published an article explaining that Tiger’s Hero World Challenge, an 18-man invitational, ridiculously skews the rankings in an unfair way. Tommy provides a great take here, but there’s just something about the closing of his post that just kills me every time. I love the take, and I just crack up at the end every time. Don’t know why, but I do!
DJ/ and Brooks Koepka Have Altercation at Ryder Cup After Party
When this news broke, every golf media outlet in the universe reported on it and it just got boring. When Tommy said he was going to whip up a post on it, I thought “may as well, everyone else is, just another day of content.” Then I read the post. Rather than discuss the drama, Tommy brought up the issue we all wanted settled. If these two actually came to blows, who would win the fight? Tom weighs it all out and gives you his opinion. About time someone actually discussed what we all really wanted to know.
*Picture chosen here because it’s hilarious – that’s not Koepka with DJ.
Driving Range Music – ARIZONA
I had never heard of this band, and following Tommy’s post, I gave them a listen and enjoyed it. This post did for me exactly what we hope these will do for you guys – help you discover some new music to help brighten your day a little bit.
Are Country Clubs the Way to Go?
Just because the content is fair consideration, but I loved the debate between Tommy and close personal friend of DRH, Aaron. The content of this post from Tommy is solid and a good balance of pros and cons. But what I really always enjoy about this post is the debate it kicked up between Tommy and close personal friend of DRH, Aaron B. There is very little more entertaining to me than a good Tommy/Aaron debate. I just wish it could have been on the course with all of us there!
