KBS Honda LPGA 2025

KBS Wins 2025 Honda LPGA Thailand

Carlsbad, CA – After a tournament record breaking overall total, KBS found itself in the Winner’s Bag at the Siam County Club Old Course. The winner had a C-Taper 125 shafts in her Titleist irons. Heading into the event the 26-year-old was seeking his 2nd victory on tour. She hasn’t won an event since 2023 and wanted nothing more than to regain that winning feeling. She opened up her tournament campaign with a score of 67, but quickly improved on Friday with a round of 64. Saturday, she remained consistent and shot another impressive score of 64. She was now facing a 5-stroke lead heading into the final round. Her play up to this point was so solid that she had not made a single bogey. The final round would still prove to be tough because the course very gettable and easy to go low for her competition who was still in reach. She played a steady front nine, but would need to make a few more birdies to hold off a tough opponent who was playing lights out. Luckily the KBS player remained focused and went on to birdie 3 of the last 4 holes, but would need 1 more on the 18th to win the tournament. Her opponent went on to shoot a 10 under 61 in the final round to apply major pressure. The 26-year-old KBS player kept her foot on the gas and birdied the last hole to win the tournament by 1 stroke. Not only did she win, but she broke the scoring record for the tournament. She said, “It means a lot, since last year I wanted to play Thailand but I couldn’t because I was in a wheelchair”. A huge congratulations go out to the winner and all the players in the field of the Honda LPGA Thailand! |Player Driven. Tour Proven|
