Nike Air Jordan III Golf Shoe
There’s traditional golf shoes, modern-tech golf shoes, then there’s Air Jordan golf shoes. Yep, you read that correctly. Since “re-entering” the golf shoe game a couple of years ago, Jordan golf shoes have been one of the hottest pieces of gear every time they hit the market. They’re so hot that they often sell out within seconds and leave fans paying more than double on the secondary market. One of the most anticipated releases was the Nike Air Jordan III golf shoe in the white cement colorway. Our review will tell you if the “WC3s” are a good golf shoe or if it’s just a bunch of hype.
The Looks
As a longtime Nike/Jordan fan and collector, seeing that classic Air Jordan III silhouette on a golf shoe was everything I could ask for. Admittedly, the golf sole gives the Jordan 3 a slightly different look but the profile is pretty true to the basketball equivalent’s profile. The materials are high quality and the “cement” is spot on. I know, I know, golf purists are going to hate these and be disgraced with such a ridiculous shoe in their presence…and I couldn’t care less. I love the look of this shoe and being able to represent a killer Jordan shoe while on the course.
Comfort Level
Look, I’m not going to convince you that Nike Air Jordan III golf shoe keeps up with the comfort level of all premium modern shoes. That said, there are significantly more shoes on the golf market that are much more uncomfortable than the 3s. The footbed is very comforting and the mid profile gives you good full foot support. Speaking of that mid profile, it’s definitely a characteristic to keep in mind. The 3’s ankle cuff is higher (though on par with previous Jordan golf releases) and you certainly want to be aware of that when you’re deciding to pick up a pair. Having worn regular Jordan 3s over the years, I was comfortable with the height of the shoe and it didn’t bother me at all.
On-Course Performance
There aren’t a whole lot of fancy technology components to talk about with the Nike Air Jordan III golf shoe. At the end of the day, the Jordan 3 golf shoe is a comfortable shoe with a stable platform and plenty of grip. I was comfortable in all conditions and was able to play in the Jordan 3 for long periods of time with no issues. As much as people are probably dying to criticize these shoes for being “a statement first, a golf shoe second,” they couldn’t be more wrong. The Air Jordan III is a great golf shoe and I will turn to it repeatedly.
Final Thoughts – Air Jordan III Golf Shoe
Call me a fanboy, call me an idiot, a hype beast, whatever you want. I love these Nike Air Jordan III golf shoes. The 3 is a great addition to an already impressive lineup Jordan has released and will hopefully be followed by many other classics. Is the White Cement 3 worth the aftermarket price tag? Probably not, but I’m not naive enough to think that I’m not paying for a brand name. The Jordan 3 golf shoes were super limited and they sold out fast for a reason. Of course, if you’re a Jordan fan or collector already, then the Jordan 3golf shoe is a no brainer.
Is Nike ever going to release this golf shoes again?
I don’t know anything for certain, but I don’t imagine they will re-release this colorway of the Jordan III anytime soon.
They will release them sometime around March like they did last year. Only 300 pairs will be released.
What makes you say that? I guarantee you any scheduled release will be more than 300 pairs, and I am skeptical of any restock of the white/cement 3s.
