SAN DIEGO, CA. (April 1st, 2024) — Project X® is reintroducing its HandCrafted line of graphite shafts with the launch of a new HZRDUS T1100 HandCrafted shaft this week at the Valero Texas Open.
HandCrafted shafts are rolled by hand and come directly out of the Project X R&D Lab in San Diego, California.
“We are beyond excited to be able to bring back a HandCrafted line of graphite shafts,” Don Brown, vice president of marketing and innovation for Project X said. “When producing a HandCrafted shaft, each shaft is rolled by hand, painted by hand and the logos are even applied by hand, all in our San Diego lab, ensuring the utmost care is taken along the way.”
The first Project X HandCrafted shaft is the newest addition to the popular HZRDUS T1100 line of shafts.
“Different iterations of our spin killing HZRDUS T1100 line of shafts have long been a go-to for the
strongest swingers on Tour and have been trusted by multiple winners this year,” explains David Wilson, senior tour manager of graphite golf shafts for Project X. “Players keep getting faster and shaft stability is now more important than ever. The new HZRDUS T1100 HandCrafted features our new 4D Optimized Carbon technology, a spread tow weave that can be seen down the entire shaft, which provides our most stable golf shaft to date.”
HZRDUS T1100 HandCrafted is a low launch/spin shaft that comes in a flex range of 6.0 and 6.5 in 60g and 70g options and available in 6.5 flex in an 80g model. With the ability to only make a limited number of HandCrafted shafts per day, more information about a retail launch will come later.
