Srixon Z-Star XV Win

Srixon Stays Hot with First DP World Tour Win of the Season

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif.,  – Srixon is atop of the leaderboard once again, this time on the DP World Tour, where staffer Alejandro del Rey captured his maiden title at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship on Sunday. Srixon’s win tally is now at four in the month of January, continuing a dominant run to open the 2025 season.

In his 70th start on the DP World Tour, Alejandro del Rey achieved his breakthrough moment by delivering a bogey-free final round, carding a 6-under 66 to secure a four-shot victory. Throughout the tournament, del Rey displayed his consistency, ranking first in stroke average for the week with all four rounds in the 60s, as well as ranking first in strokes gained total.

“I got to a point last year where I just felt like I wasn’t having that much fun on the golf course because for me, playing for 20th, 30th place wasn’t that meaningful at that point,” said del Rey. “I just worked really hard since then because I just didn’t want to be in that position much longer. And I feel like I’ve played for many years with a lot of friends that have won out here and I knew I could do it, but it just wasn’t showing up. I’m just grateful and I’m very happy that this finally came. I’ve always felt that I’m a great closer of golf tournaments. It just felt great today, felt very natural and very easy.”

Alejandro del Rey’s winning performance was highlighted by the use of his Srixon clubs, including the new ZXi Irons. Ranking in the top five in strokes gained approach to the green, he was able to create multiple scoring opportunities in pivotal moments to build his lead. He also relied on the new Z-STAR XV, Srixon’s longest tour distance golf ball, which is also in the winning bags of fellow Srixon staffers Hideki Matsuyama and Sepp Straka.
