Speed Sticks Pro Review
Swing speed is one of the biggest factors in adding distance, and overspeed training has become a popular way for golfers to gain those extra yards. SuperSpeed Golf has been leading that space for years, and their latest release, the Speed Sticks Pro, takes the concept further with new tech, interchangeable weighting, and an easy to follow app. The SuperSpeed Speed Sticks Pro help you train faster swing paths without altering your mechanics, using intuitive, structured lessons. For someone like me, who averages around 105 MPH with the driver, the question was simple: could the Pro system getting me some much desired extra speed?
Set Up & Ease of Use
Getting started with the SuperSpeed Speed Sticks Pro couldn’t be easier. Out of the box, the set comes with three training sticks and a weight kit that allows you to fine tune the feel to better match your own driver. The inertia matching system is one of the biggest upgrades from the original SuperSpeed sticks, because you can dial in the weight progression instead of a one-size-fits-all setup. For me, being able to adjust the weight so the stick closely resembles my driver feel made the training feel more natural.
The real key to progression is the Super Speed Training app. After downloading it, you can immediately start with Level 1 protocols which are included for free. The app walks you through each drill with clear video demonstrations, timers, and progress tracking. That structure keeps you accountable and ensures you aren’t just swinging randomly. It also gives you a progression plan so you know when to advance to the next stage. Within about 15 minutes I was comfortable with the routine, though I can can’t say the same thing for my neighbors, who looked on curiously as I practiced in the ally behind my place. You have to get creative in the city! Regardless, even if you have never used a speed training aid before, the app does all the heavy lifting in terms of organization and instruction.
Performance
This is where the SuperSpeed Speed Sticks Pro stand out. SuperSpeed’s overspeed training method works by getting you to swing lighter clubs faster than your driver, essentially teaching your body (and brain) that higher speeds are possible. Over time, those faster movement patterns transfer into your regular swing.
In my testing the results were noticeable. Before training, my driver swing speed averaged about 104 MPH, which translates to roughly 260 yards of carry on a solid strike. After four weeks of consistent sessions (three times a week) my average climbed to 109-110, with peaks touching 112. That 5-8 MPH gain might not sound massive, but on course that equated to an extra 15-20 yards off the tee. The added distance gave me shorter approach shots and more consistent scoring opportunities. A welcomed sight.
The new Speed Sticks Pro also feature a “Load Zone” & “Torque Zone” built into the shaft which give increased feedback and feel for creating lag and releasing the club head at the right time. Combined with the Tour Pressure grip, which promotes relaxed hands, I felt this training aid not only produced raw power but better technique.
Final Thoughts – SuperSpeed Speed Sticks Pro Review
The SuperSpeed Speed Sticks Pro are a well-rounded training system that makes gaining speed both accessible and effective. The adjustable weighting, aerodynamic design, and app-based training provide structure and measurable results. I saw my driver swing speed and distance increase in just a few weeks. Who doesn’t like the sound of that? The short, efficient sessions and clear guidance from the app made training a breeze and is a practical options for golfers of all skill levels, or even instructors.
