Tempercraft Water Bottles & Tumblers
A friend of mine first introduced me to Tempercraft water bottles during the 2017 golf season and changed my life forever. This is not hyperbole. I literally use a Tempercraft water bottle every single day of my life. These dual-wall water bottles will keep liquids cold for 24 hours, or hot for 6-ish hours which is perfect for out on the course.
How They Work
Believe it or not, Tempercraft doesn’t use some sort of “witch magic” to keep your drinks hot or cold. It’s actually science. The various products are made up of two walls that “prevents the transfer of temperature from the environment outside to the contents inside.” What this means is that there is an inner wall and an outer wall that are separated via a vacuum insulation to control the temperature. See the diagram below.
I can’t sit here and pretend I’m a scientist and speak to the technical validity, but I can speak from my own experience. I’ve more than once have filled a bottle up with water and ice only to return to the bottle 18 hours later with some level of solid ice cubes still in it. At 24 hours, the water was still refreshingly cold. Admittedly, in 100º outdoor weather, that time will speed up a bit, but an ice cold bottle will maintain that temperature for an entire round of golf. Chances are, you’ll drink all of the water before temperature becomes an issue.
While I am not a coffee drinker, DRH’s own Tommy is and he uses his Tempercraft coffee tumbler everyday at work. Admittedly, the more open top can let the heat cool off a little quicker, but Tommy’s experience is that the coffee maintains its heat much longer than it takes him to actually drink his coffee. In short, if you drink a warm drink at the rate of a normal person, your Tempercraft has you covered. If you pour a nice cup of coffee early in the morning and forget about it until 8:00 PM at night, it’s likely going to cool down a bit. That’s more than reasonable in my book.

If you’re a coffee drinker, there are mugs and tumblers of all different sizes. Maybe you have an all day excursion and you need to stock up on a ton of some type of liquid that you want to keep warm or cold. No worries, Tempercraft has a 64oz growler!
My favorite, as a 33 year old parent, are the wine tumblers. When your young children want to spend every waking summer hour outside, there’s nothing better for happy hour than having the perfect container to keep your nice wine chilled as you sit outside. The wine tumbler was also, by far, the most fun of the Tempercraft products to test.
Maybe plain Tempercraft water bottles or tumblers are good enough for your needs. Or maybe you want to get something custom laser engraved on it. To top it off…you can choose what color silicon band you want if your bottle has the sport lid. Mix and match, show a little extra character.
In addition to a wide range of options and customization, the standard features of Tempercraft products are that they use 18/8 food-grade stainless steel, a durable powder-coated finish, and the appropriate lid for your specific vessel. Depending on which product you go with, you may be able to choose a different lid style to meet your needs. Personally, I’m a big fan of the Sport Lid.
Conclusion
My Tempercraft water bottles serve my hydration needs so well, they’re one of the strongest staples in all my rounds of golf. Not just every round of golf I play, but in my everyday life. With a wide range of products available, Tempercraft has something to fit just about any drinking need imaginable. Whether for a gift or your own personal use, you just can’t go wrong with a Tempercraft beverage container. More than anything, Tempercraft makes a really damn good water bottle and I believe it’s an absolute must in any golfer’s bag.
