Tour Edge Exotics E725 Irons Review

Tour Edge Exotics E725 Irons

In my opinion, Tour Edge reached somewhat of a turning point with their irons around the launch of the Exotics 721 series. This was when they introduced the concept of a competitive-spec C series alongside the “extreme forgiveness” E series. The 721 irons also marked a significant leap in technology elements, blending clean aesthetics with impressive performance. Since then, Tour Edge has continued to refine their irons, consistently delivering high-quality products. However, I can confidently say that the new “extreme MOI” Tour Edge Exotics E725 irons are the best of this era. Having tested all of the 725 series irons (review for the C725 to be completed, X725 irons here), each impressive in its own right, the E725 really stood out, blowing me away with its sleek design, exceptional sound and feel, and outstanding performance.

The E725 irons feature a 10% higher MOI than previous models, with a low center of gravity (CG) that makes launching the ball effortless. Advanced technologies like Vibrcor and an updated 3D Diamond Face enhance feel and power, while the incorporation of carbon fiber optimizes weight distribution for a more stable club head.

Looks 6

The Looks

First and foremost, the Tour Edge Exotics E725 irons are game improvement so they are a bit longer from heel to toe and the top line is on the thick-ish side. That said, the topline doesn’t scream “big!”, and the offset really blends into the club well. (Apologies for italicizing twice in one sentence, but I really needed to stress those points.) They look really, really, really clean from address. The biggest difference in the E725 iron’s looks from the previous E iron is the multi-material carbon and TPU badge.

Speaking of the badge, it’s quite a different aesthetic for Tour Edge irons, however, it serves very functional purposes. First, it reduces “non-discretionary” weight in the head so Tour Edge is able optimize the balance and CG location. Next, it also dampens sound and feel to make for a more pleasant ballstriking experience.

Feel 9

How Does it Feel?

As I often point out with this category of iron containing some sort of TPU material for dampening, they can feel very “slappy”. Tour Edge has done a fairly good job of making their injected irons feel “less slappy” over the past few generations, but the E725 irons are further improved in this area. They really deliver a sweet feel that doesn’t have that same slap to it thanks to the Vibrcor TPU. Does it feel like a buttery forged muscle back blade? Of course not, but it’s not reasonable to expect it to. When you add in the new 3D Diamond Face, the feedback is clean, responsive, and very lively. Maybe most importantly, the sweet spot is generous while still being precise.

Through the turf, the E725 irons are a lot crisper than previous E series irons, in my opinion. They’re still smooth and generous from a slightly wider sole, but they don’t feel as clunky as a game improvement iron often does. This is primarily due to the sole rail and extreme toe/heel relief. More relief results in less friction with the ground so the club moves through the grass faster and cleaner. I found this to be very noticeable and a great addition to the club.

How Does it Sound?

Tour Edge claims Vibrcor technology makes the E725 sound and feel like forged irons. While I wouldn’t say that’s entirely true, they do sound more refined than most in this category. Maybe it’s because of the use of the carbon fiber material rather than a full-metal body? Whatever the case, I was very satisfied with the sound. Hollow-body irons with dampening materials often sound “slappy,” but Tour Edge has made big improvements. The E725 irons produce a pleasant, soft “whack” with a touch of “pop”, a step up from most “TPU-filled” irons. The generous sweet spot keeps the tone consistent across the face while still providing useful feedback. If sound is a priority and you’re in the game improvement market, the E725 irons are a strong option.

On-Course Performance

The Tour Edge Exotics E725 irons deliver plenty of distance and forgiveness. Launching the ball is effortless, thanks to the 360° Undercut design and extreme “low-rearward” CG, which help get shots high in the air for strong carry without needing perfect face contact. Even on mishits, the 3D Diamond Face technology ensures consistent ball speed, maintaining solid distance and reducing punishment on off-center strikes. That said, the well-balanced club head feels stable, making it easy to control and find the center of the face.

Unlike many GI irons which lean toward a draw bias due to significant offset, the E725 irons avoid that pitfall. They still help to keep the right side of the course out of play, but allow for workability, including fades when needed. For players seeking forgiveness without sacrificing playability, these irons perform exceptionally well.

Final Thoughts – Tour Edge Exotics E725 Irons

Tour Edge has taken another big step forward in refining their extreme game improvement lineup with the Exotics E725 irons, delivering a well-balanced mix of forgiveness, power, and control. The combination of VIBRCOR technology, 3D Diamond Face, and a low-rearward CG results in easy launch, consistent distance, and a nice feel. From a design perspective, the sleek yet confidence-inspiring profile makes these irons approachable for a wide range of players. They offer game-improvement forgiveness while maintaining a crisper turf interaction and a better sound than previous models. If you’re in the market for a forgiving iron that doesn’t sacrifice playability, the Tour Edge Exotics E725 should be high on your list.
