TRUE linkswear All Day Knit 3 Shoe Review

TRUE linkswear All Day Knit 3

The TRUE linkswear True Knit II has been my go-to shoe both on and off the course since they came out. Like, I wear them pretty much every day wherever I go, save for just a few exceptions. I’m certainly biased and I’ll fully admit that in this case, but I have a question. How do you replace perfection? Well, TRUE linkswear is giving it a go with their All Knit 3. The TRUE linkswear All Day Knit 3 is built upon the principles of “all day comfort” and breathability, but in a more athletic fit to better serve you however you may call on them. As TRUE puts it, the All Day Knit 3 “offers everything you’ve come to love about our TRUE Knit family, just better.

The Looks

There are four different colorways that make up the initial release of the TRUE linkswear All Day Knit 3. Pictured here is the practical and versatile black featuring a translucent “fog” sole. The other three colorways are a grey “Legend” colorway, a white “Nimbus”, and a vibrant “Deep Sea” navy.

Like TRUE linkswear says, the All Day Knit 3 features a more athletic aesthetic. It has much more of a sneaker profile than previous versions of TRUE’s knit styles. That said, I feel that the All Day Knit still maintains the signature “knit style” that’s synonymous with the brand. It’s just as at home walking around town or at the gym as it is on the golf course.

Comfort Level

Comfort is the dominant reason behind my loyalty to TRUE linkswear’s knit family. I would even say it’s the primary defining characteristic of the platform. TRUE linkswear Knit = ultimate comfort. In my opinion, the All Day Knit 3 is an even more comfortable “wearing experience” than its predecessors. A major reason for that is the new Wanderlux midsole which provides more cushioning than previous models. There’s also the new “anti-rub heel pad” which provides more comfort around the back of your foot. It’s a small change, but it makes a major difference.

Another benefit of the Knit upper is that it fits close to your foot and can do so for a wide (pun intended) range of feet. I have a standard width foot and the one-piece upper comfortably forms to your foot without making you feel squeezed. The shoe will comfortably stretch to fit a wider foot just as well.

On-Course Performance

Comfort will always play a huge role in how a shoe performs. The TRUE linkswear All Day Knit 3 fits its names perfectly as you’ll be comfortable wearing them all day. They’re super breathable, well cushioned, and have great flexibility. Perfect for a walking golf shoe. (Just remember they aren’t waterproof.) The big draw in performance, however, is the new sole! TRUE linkswear updated their traction with the new “All Day V2” rubber sole. I’ve found this provides more grip during the golf swing. My experience runs deep with the Knit lineage and this sole “pattern” is noticeably grippier (that’s a word) on the golf course.

Final Thoughts – TRUE linkswear All Day Knit 3

The “on-foot experience” of the TRUE linkswear All Day Knit 3 is much better than TRUE’s previous Knit models. It provides a more stable platform, a more comfortable footbed, and an all-around better walking experience. These enhancements will make the All Day Knit 3 a great daily wearerfor almost any occasion whether it’s running errands, going for a walk, or meeting some buddies at the range or simulator. I’m going to wear the All Day Knit 3 everywhere all the time. It’s as simple as that. That is, unless the conditions are going to be wet, then I’ll obviously switch to my TRUE linkswear Lux Hybrid.
