TRUE linkswear TRUE Knit II Shoe
Ladies and gentlemen, it’s back. TRUE linkswear has officially brought back it’s most popular shoe of all time, the TRUE Knit and it’s better than ever. The new TRUE linkswear TRUE Knit II is extremely comfortable and another excellent “course to the clubhouse” option from TRUE linkwear.
The Looks
TRUE linkswear continues to do an excellent job blending contemporary on-course style with a flawless transition to a sleek casual street shoe. I can easily play 36 holes in the TRUE Knit II and then just as easily wear them out to dinner with my family, or at the bar with some friends after my day on the course. In fact, if I never stepped foot on a golf course, no one would think they’re anything other than a nice looking knit shoe. Coming in black, grey, and deep sea blue, the TKII is a shoe that truly looks great with almost anything.
BUT WAIT, there’s more! TRUE Linkswear has also introduced the TRUE Knit II in women’s sizing in the same colorways as the men’s shoe. I have it on good account that the women’s TRUE Knit II is just the start of more women’s models to come.
Comfort Level
Comfort is synonymous with the name TRUE linkswear. Obviously the comfort of a shoe is going to be somewhat subjective depending on a variety of factors like foot shape, support requirements, and other personal preferences. In my case, I think the TRUE Knit II is quite possibly TRUE’s second most comfortable shoe only behind their OG Feel model. The shoe is made with a single knit upper with a sock-like fit that will conform to your foot whether you have a wider EEE or a standard medium foot width.
Adding to the TRUE Knit II’s comfort level is the Wanderlux foam used in the midsole. This foam is lightweight, flexible, durable, and cleans easily if it gets a little dirty. Most importantly, it’s a soft bed of clouds on the bottom of your feet that make this shoe comfortable all day no matter what purpose you’re wearing it for.
On-Course Performance
It honestly feels like I’m not wearing a shoe at all with the TRUE Knit II, yet I have all of the support I need…or don’t need. TRUE linkswear’s Wanderlux is the real deal and the sock-fit of the knit upper give you precise feedback and ground response on the course. Though the tread on the shoe isn’t super aggressive, it’s efficient. It’s more than adequate on the golf course, yet transitions smoothly to walking around outside of the golf club. If you want to wear the TRUE Knit II as your daily walker, it will certainly meet the task.
This shoe is incredibly breathable. That knit upper specifically is extremely breathable for legit all-day comfort. Even on the hottest days, your feet are catching a breeze and staying cool. To help with that breathability, TRUE linkwear also utilized an “open cell” footbed which you can think of like honeycomb. With this design, air is able to circulate through the bottom of the footbed for even more air circulation. One thing to keep in mind with a shoe this breathable is water management. Though the TRUE Knit II is water and oil repellent, it is absolutely designed for dry days. If you’re playing in the wet or muddy conditions, it might be worth tossing on your TL LUX Knits instead.
Final Thoughts – TRUE linkswear TRUE Knit II Shoe
In my honest opinion, finding a more comfortable shoe than any TRUE linkwear is pretty tough these days in the golf world. The TRUE Knit II is no exception. If you’re a long-term TRUE linkswear fan, nothing about this shoe will come as a surprise to you. You’ll be super pumped to have the TRUE Knit back and better than ever, and you’ll love it. Like the last few models we’ve covered on our site, the TRUE Knit II has become an instant constant in my rotation for every facet of my life and I’ll wear them into the ground, then get another pair to replace them after that.
