Thought features may be somewhat minimal on the VSSL Gear Insulated Flask speaker, they’re everything you need. Of course, this depends on your personal needs. In my opinion, you’re really buying this as a flask first. This flask has double-wall insulation to keep your drink cold for up to ten hours or hot for up to five hours. The drinking cap is leak proof and also features a clip top so you can hang the flask in an ideal location. But this flask also doubles up as a Bluetooth speaker. This is where the clip feature was crucial, but we’ll discuss that in the next section. The speaker is removable for cleaning purposes as well as charging. For convenience and durability, the VSSL Gear Insulated flask is made out of a lightweight stainless steel.
On-Course Performance
Like I said above, the VSSL Gear Insulated flask Bluetooth speaker is really a flask first. The insulation is effective at keeping drinks cold or hot, and its compact profile makes it really convenient. Just toss it in the side pocket of your bag and take it anywhere. (Disclosure: mind the rules of your local course!) I can’t say I’ve really put it through its rigorous paces to test durability, but it seems good to withstand the elements. You have about eight ounces of liquid capacity for whatever your needs may be.
The clip feature of the drink top is really nice. It lifts from the top of the cap and allows you to hang it wherever possible. I will say it was a touch small for the handle of the golf cart, but we made it work. Hanging the VSSL Gear flask also makes for better audio than sitting in the cup holder. This clip feature has been great to hang the VSSL flask next to my workbench in the garage as well.
As far as the speaker goes, it’s just ok. If you’re an audiophile looking for premium sound performance, you probably want to stick to brands that are known as speaker companies. That said, the VSSL Gear certainly gets the job done for a 2-in-1 device when you’re looking to minimize the equipment you’re bringing along. In this day and age, those numbers add up fast. You might be carrying a water bottle, GPS, rangefinder, cell phone, speaker, flask, etc. Let’s not pretend losing any single one of those things isn’t a very real threat for any given round. With this flask/speaker combo, that’s one less thing to worry about.

The VSSL Gear Insulated Flask Bluetooth speaker is a fun option for golfers who are looking for a quick nip of whiskey and a little entertainment while on the course. It’s easy to just fill up, toss in the bag, and then pop into the car or wherever else you choose when you get to the course. You can also use it for other non-golf adventures! I could see this flask/speaker being a great option for a quick camping or hiking trip as well.
