Well, Driving Range Heroes officially turned a year old today. I guess that’s not totally true because we bought the domain awhile before that and started hammering on content to load up for the official launch, but May 29th, 2018 was the official first day of new content and reaching out to the world. While it’s only been a year, we’ve already seen a lot of growth and have been busy working with a whole bunch of people we never knew before. We’ve also been busy working with people we did already know, but trying to find different ways to work with them than we have in previous lives. I think in some ways we’ve been successful there, but in other ways we’ll look to evolve and deliver different content now that we have a solid foundation under us and a great audience.
One of the most important objectives for us when we were working on launching the site was that we wanted to make sure our content was easy for anyone to consume and relate to. As much as we’re all big golf nerds and love diving into every technical detail of a subject, we know many people who come across our site just want us to tell them what’s going on in layman’s terms. Hopefully we’ve been good at that so far. We like to think we make our content relatable, conversational, yet still informative. Max Reinland of Muni Kids and Reinland Golf Co has told me in the past, “reading your content is less like reading a product page and more like a conversation you’re having with buddies at the bar about the newest golf gear.” That’s exactly what we’re shooting for.
So thank you to all of you that have made this a great first year whether it’s stopping by to read our content, hooking us up with equipment to review for our readers, or just being great friends that are fun to talk to. It’s been a lot of fun and we look forward to seeing what we can do over this next year!
Of course, we want to stay fun and interesting for you guys. If you have any types of content or ideas you’d like to see from us, never hesitate to shoot us a note and let us know!
Great effort by your team!!! Even though I haven’t been able to golf this past year due to ailments, reading your site is my primary connection to the golf world. Cheers!
Thanks Gary! We appreciate your support, and glad we can provide that connection for you! Best of luck, and we wish you a speedy recovery so you can get back on the course!
